Connect Your Calendar to Double Nickel

To help us seamlessly schedule and manage meetings in your calendar, follow these steps to configure your Cal.com account.

Steps to Connect your Calendar:

Step 1: Create Cal.com API Key to Enable Meeting Creation

To allow Double Nickel to create meetings on your calendar and check your availability, you must first connect your Cal.com account.

  1. Visit Cal.com and create an account using your email address.

  2. After logging in, click Event Types from the left sidebar.

    Click on Event types

  3. Check whether an event type named 15min already exists.

    • If it already exists, go to step 4.

    • If it does not exist, create a new event type by following these steps:

      Click on 30 Min Meeting/walter-velaides-zoqtcr/30min…

      a. Click New in the top right corner.

      Click on New

      b. Configure the event type using the following settings:

      • Title: 15min (Please always use this same wording)

        Click on Title

      • URL: Leave as-is

        Click on URL

      • Duration: 15

        Click on Duration

      • Booking Type: For myself

        Click on For myself…

      c. Click Continue.

      Click on Continue

      d. Click Save in the top right corner.

      Click on Save

  4. Navigate to API Keys:

    • Go to Settings

      Click on Settings

    • Click on API Keys

      Click on API keys

  5. Create an API Key:

    • Under Create your first API key, click on New

      Click on New

    • Add a name to the Key

      Click on Name this key

    • Ensure it is marked as Never Expires

      Select Never expires

    • Click Create.

      Click on Create

  6. Copy the API Key

Step 2: Add the Cal.com API Key to Double Nickel

  1. Navigate to Double Nickel:

    • Go the Settings page.

    • Click on Users, under General.

    • Click on your own User.

    • Click on Edit.

    • Paste your calendar API key into the Calendar API Key field.

    • Click the Save button.

Note: Currently our platform does not support changing the names of the default Event Types in cal.com or event lengths under 15 minutes.

Your calendar is now connected!
