Configure Employment Verification Settings

In this section, we’ll show you how to update your company’s Employment Verification settings, including assigned employees, verification period, expiration behavior, and automated outreach options.

Steps to Configure the Employment Verification Settings

  1. From the sidebar, click on Settings

    Click on Settings

  2. Click on Company

    Click on Company

  3. Under Company, click on Employment Verifications

    Click on Employment Verifications…

  4. Click Edit

    Click on Edit

  5. Update the following settings as needed:

    • Employee assigned to incoming verification requests

      Click on Incoming Verification Requests

    • Employees assigned to outgoing verification requests

      Click on Outgoing Verification Requests

    • Outgoing verification period

      • This controls how far back employment history should be verified for outgoing requests. Employment entries older than this period will appear as expired in the outgoing verification table

        Click on Outgoing Verification Period


    • Auto-cancel expired verifications

      • Select Enabled or Disabled

  6. Under Automated Outreach, choose whether to enable it

    Select an option

  7. Under Business Days Scheduling, choose whether outreach should only be scheduled on weekdays

    Select an option

  8. Under Outreach Start Condition, select when outreach should begin:

    • Immediately on verification creation

    • After manual attempts

    • Via automation rule only

    Click on dropdown trigger

  9. Under Outreach Steps, configure the sequence of outreach attempts sent to the previous employer

    • Set the delay in hours for each step

    • For example: first email, second email, third email

      Type in text field

  10. If you want to add another step, click the + sign

    Click on Add a new outreach step to the sequence

  11. If you want to remove a step, click the trash can icon

    Click on Remove step

  12. Click Save

    Click on Save

Now you can customize how Employment Verifications are assigned, tracked, and followed up on across your company!
